Jazz is often said to be a tool for international education, peace and conflict resolution. How does this work in practice? Panelists Simon Rowe, director of the Dave Brubeck Institute, University of the Pacific, Stockton CA; pianist Danilo Perez,artistic director of the Berklee Global Jazz Institute, and flutist Jamie Baum discuss efforts to employ jazz internationally for these ends. Moderated by JJA President Howard Mandel.
