My interests in jazz are:
I cover jazz festivals in their dynamic social/regional/cultural activities and impacts. Japan has almost 100 years of accepting and digesting western popular music, and after WWII has been under influence of jazz musicians such as Hampton Hawes, then GI under US occupation until 1952. Now many know Japan has variety of superb musicians worldwide. I intend to cover jazz festivals in Taiwan, as well.
